The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. This transition included going from hand production methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, the increasing use of steam power, the development of machine tools and the rise of the factory system. In simple Automation technology became the solution for the revolution. Last two decades has witnessed a tremendous surge in the application of Automation Technology in Indian Industries. Automation does not require normal engineers but it needs well skilled professionals. We are here to provide those professionals.
The ultimate motive of C. V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE) is to produce trained personnel for automation in industries. In order to glorify our dream, we have gone into collaboration with Siemens, Germany, who are market leaders in Automation Technology. As a result, we have established the state of the art training centre at CVRCE campus. Finally, we are a step ahead to fulfil our dreams along with Siemens.
We are here to expose the participants to different aspects of automation and to improve their knowledge in PLC, SCADA, DRIVES, Logic circuits, Switch-Gears and Sensor technology. We provide a platform to the participants where they get trained both theoretically and practically which is recommended by SIEMENS, as per German standard.

It is worth appreciating the initiative taken to start Siemens Training Centre at C. V. Raman College of Engineering. The centre will be unique in the state in terms of training in,PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, AC & DC DRIVES and SWITCHGEARS with active participation of Siemens, Germany. I am sure this centre will help to develop competent manpower for different industries to support the industrial growth of Odisha and India. I wish the entire team of “C. V. Raman Siemens Centre of Excellence” a big success.
It is with immense pleasure that I write this foreword for C. V. Raman Siemens Centre of Excellence. I have been associated with this project since the day of the MOU was signed with Siemens and it is indeed heartening to note that this untiring effort by our Chairman is going to bear fruit. The centre prides itself of being equipped with the latest State - of - the - Art equipment on PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, AC & DC DRIVES and SWITCHGEARS. The training program has also been designed to cater to the needs of the ITI, Diploma and B.Tech students with the present day industries going in for large scale automation, this training program will no doubt add to the market value of these students. I am sure this centre is going to be an important landmark in technical studies in years to come.
To facilitate transformation of participants into a trained industrialists and competent professionals by feeding them with knowledge.
